Space Tracker
Space Tracker, our innovative space mission, is designed to use satellite technology to detect and analyze radio signals. By deploying a constellation of satellites, we aim to identify the location of the sources emitting radio signals. The ability to monitor signals from space ensures global coverage, especially in remote or difficult-to-reach areas.
01.
Mission milestones
Space Tracker will be developed in 3 steps:
Payload tested on ground, useful e.g. for detection of ships on the sea, or "indirect radar" for airplane detection.
Payload integrated in drones, useful e.g. for Search and Rescue of lost people in the mountains.
Payload integrated in a satellite constellation.
02.
Technology
The technology relies on detecting the same signal through multiple receiving antennae.
It works like an 'inverse GPS': instead of a user receiving signals from various satellites to determine their position based on time delays, a signal is emitted from an unknown location and captured by multiple receivers. By analyzing the time delays in signal arrival, the system estimates the source's location.
03.
Use Cases
Our advanced signal detection system is designed to track and locate strong radio emissions, even in the most isolated areas. This technology has a wide range of applications, including:
Search and Rescue of lost people in remote areas, via radio beacons or via their own cell phones.
Detection of illegal immigration.
Identification of ships in the sea: illegal fishing, shadow fleet of oil tankers.
Fleet monitoring for insurance companies. Even when the AIS is switched off, the ship could be detected. The insurance company will always know where the ship is, even if it has been hijacked.
Detect sources of GPS interference (jamming, spoofing) from ground.
Military use.
